I'm back, back in a New York groove...and some really BIG NEWS!!!

Well, I'm back in the big city. Had a wonderful time meeting Stanley the Ruler of Gooberstan last night over at Asta's. (Mommy even curtsied  when she met him!) His Girl has a camera for a hand, as you can read about on his post today, so you'll just have to wait for her to upload photos of our meeting. At first he wasn't too sure about this interloper on his romantic getaway with Astaroni, but once he saw for himself that we're just pals, more like brother and sister, he and I got along just fine. (He is one giant Goob, that's for certain!)

So this morning, me and Bear took our 2-leggeds out for some breakfast. Can you believe that Bear actually TURNED DOWN A PIECE OF BACON!?! He's going to be staying with me next weekend, so we may have to have some serious discussions about this...then again, more bacon for Petey....nevermind! Anyhow, Bear and I did some two-part harmony for the other diners, which I'm sure they enjoyed!

Afterwards, we went to the dog run to work off that bacon, then a stroll around the Meatpacking District to see what's new since we've been away.

We spotted this cool mural...(maybe Asta's Mommi could sneak out in the night and paint one!)...

Then we spotted this funny one. Bear's Daddy is a big Star Trek fan so we sent this photo to him immediately!

I was pooped from an hour and a half at the run, hence my big bologna tongue, but I still summoned the energy to pose with this cutiepie pug. 

Of course, the heart had me swooning for my own true love, Rosie-Posie...

We stopped at the Apple Store for Mommy to pick out a shiny new MacBook and then you'll never guess what I did... I emailed Rosie....

(clears throat)

Rosie, will you do me the honor of being my furever love and...

(gulp)

Will you marry me?

I won't destroy another tennis ball until I get your answer...

I was so nervous awaiting her response, I passed out.

I didn't have to wait very long though before she emailed me back...

(clears lump in throat)

Aaarrroooorrooo! Oh Petey, can you hear me howling my joy? 

Of course, it's a YES my darling! Now, go get that ball and give it some welly from me too! 

I'm off to trot around in circles and chase my tail (I won't be able to reach it for much longer!)
