Tanner's a real swinger and time to say "Afskeid vriende!"

Once Joey was reluctantly found — reeking of nachos and warthog — we could all kick back and celebrate Tanner's 5th Birthday. Needless to say, with his new Tanzar personality, it was a swinging good time! I'll be curious to hear how that loincloth goes over in Arizona. Tanzar, if anyone gives you any grief, fly over to New York and we'll set you up in Times Square with the Naked Cowboy.

Rosie and I snuck away from the festivities to enjoy our final South African sunset and drink a toast of Amarula to our delightful new friends and excellent hosts Tammy, Max and Toffee.
We couldn't help but notice a familiar silhouette towering over the grazing herd of wildebeests.

Fortunately, Lacie was prepared with her tranquilizer gun should the big fella get any more amorous ideas — he'd been watching a racy video called "Beests Gone Wilde" on Dennis' plane about Spring Break migration and kept murmuring "what happens in South Africa stays in South Africa."
So we've packed our rucksacks. rolled up our tents, and loaded Asta's 47 pieces of Poochi luggage and steamer trunks and the time has come to say thank you and afskeid vriende. As a lasting memento of our stay, we've left some new decorations over the piano!

Off to our next adventure. But first, maybe a nap.

P.S. Mommy and I will be headed south on Friday for the next five weeks so our postings may not be quite so frequent. And you can expect to see lots more photos of me biking, playing with Buddy and romping on the beach. Same old, same old. We may be gone, but hopefully, we wont' be forgotten!

Hey there, Petey
You have been an absolute star (and so has your Mom). Thank you for that picture of all the 'trophies' hanging on Mom's piano room wall...it's going to be quite the momento.

Yep, we did all have fun, didn't we? I really hope you enjoyed your stay and that you will be back sometime to visit us.

May you and your family enjoy your break - you certainly deserve it after all the shenanigans here!

Hope we can be friends (forever)

That Tanner went a little nuts all celebrating his birthday in South Africa. It will be good to be home again.

Gosh, you are headed right out for another adventure? You get around. I do look large and impressive in my silouette.

Slobbers,
Mango

Petey: Muzzer is devastated, she is weeping and moaning because you will not be there to greet her when she comes to new york next friday. I know Asta will do her best to make up for the loss, but if you could leave a used tennis ball for muzzer to sniff, it would be appreciated.

There's no way you'll be forgotten, Petey! Not in a million years. This was an incredible adventure. Incredibly fun, beautiful, funny, nervewracking, concerning, ridiculous, sentimental. We could go on and on. You guys sure know how to go on a trip. Thanks for sharing it!

Love,
Jake and Fergi (still convincing our Girl we don't need trophies on the wall over our piano)

First of all, Happy Birthday to Tanner!! We'll hop on over later to say it there too.
I am sorry i've been neglecting you hubby, the jet-lag knocked me for six!
Ooooooweeee, my head hurts....not sure if it was my new hat (which I LOVE BTW, just hope I get another chance to wear it!) or is it sore from hanging above Max's piano?... Or maybe I sipped a bit too much Amarula....hmmm....it was lovely though, and so romantic in the sunset :D
That photo of Lacie is fantastic....the outfit really hides her....ummm....assets, very slimming!
Many thanks to Max & Co for being such wonderful hosts, they'll have to come to Scotland one day!
Will miss you so much when you go to your other island.....hope you have a lovely time and don't forget US!!
Make sure Mommy takes lots of photos of your handsome self, k?
Love always,

What a big adventure! Guess you'll need a laid back, slow movin' Southern vacation to recuperate. Don't forget the sunblock.

Africa look a blast. Such fine photography made me feel I was right there.Though I'm sort of wagging I wasn't on the trophy wall.

Happy times down south Petey! Watch out for the scary big snappers. And forget you? As if. Silly billy.

Wiry loves and kisses Eric xxx
