It's HOWL-a-ween!!!

BOO!
Don't be scared! It's just me, Petey!
Happy Howl-o-ween, everybloggie. I hope you're having a spooktacular Saturday. At the park across the street from our apartment, they have a Halloween festival every year. The local supermarket donates about 100 pumpkins and neighbors can take one to carve and bring back to the park where they'll be lit up on Halloween night. It's a pumpkin patch!

Here's the one that Mom and I carved. Well, mostly I just offered artistic direction.

Here are some of my favorite neighbor kids, dressed as Spider Girl and Dalmation #101!

We met this cute little bat pup in the park. He was jumping around so much it was hard to get a photo of him.
Here are some of our favorite Jack-O-Lanterns! Like this Frankenpumpkin....
...or this Three-eyed Mustached Orange People Eater!

I think this pumpkin had one too many of Lacie's Witches Brew Smoothies...

Don't be said, Jack-o-lantern , it's time to trick or treat!!!

Elmo was checking out all the pumpkins. If he was the cookie monster, I have a feeling Mom would have gobbled him all up!

Look at this scary window display at the Marc Jacobs store! Looks like our backyard down on the Island! (I mean, with the Spanish moss and alligators - not the zombies!)

I wish we had a better photo of this townhouse that was completely covered in spiderwebs and big old creepy crawlies!

The stores along Bleecker Street go all out for Halloween with wonderful and creative window decorations.

Hee hee, this little Frenchie had a great curly wig. It isn't easy being green!

These six-month old twins live in our building. Aren't they the cutest monkey and flower you've ever seen?

And here's my costume...I'm the FROG PRINCE! A sure-fire way to get lots of kisses from princesses. (Don't worry Rosie, I'm only talking about the 2-legged variety!)

We'll be headed over to the big party at the Dog Run soon, in the meantime, check out Asta's blog to see photos of our party preparations last night. I made some green monster goo by defuzzing a few tennis balls.

Party photos tomorrow~I can promise you, it will be GREAT!

I wish I had hoped a plane to go to that party. I probably would have gone as a nudist and I probably would have kissed you too. (Sorry Rosie. He's just so irrestible.)

What a great idea ... the pumpkins in the park! We'd love to see it!

We're hoping the weather held out so that you were able to enjoy the party at the run. It sounded like a great time (and looked terrific, being decorated.) We're thinking if you went as a green frog, you probably got lots of kisses. That's a good deal!

Hi Petey
Those costumes are all AMAZING. But I am SO glad no-one has ever tried to dress me in a green wig!

Hi Petey
What a great idea for the supermarket to donate pumpkins. We can only imagine how special that must look on Halloween night.
We were very impressed with you and your mom's carving! We can see you gave artistic direction Petey.
We loved your pics - the twins were adorable!
Spidergirl and the dalmations were so sweet and you were the perfect frog prince.
None of these sweet pictures compared to the monsters who came to our house last night!
We had to give them sweets to make them go away and we didn't really like it!!!!
We think Halloween over the pond seems far more civilised although you did have some scary pics with the window display so perhaps not!!!!
Thanks for showing us your pictures we loved them.
love and kisses

Your hood loooks totally wicked pal!!! Loved the carved pumpkins (hmmm evryone use those special carving kits?)the clever windows and too funny town house with the webs and spiders was wonderful. The little leggeds in the cute costumes made Mom squeel with delight specially the twins... tho Mom thinks that should of both been Peas - get it?!!!

Good move with your costume Petey. Bet you got billions of kisses from lady leggeds who hoped you would turn into a handsome prince.Put that costume on when Mom comes over so she can give it a try she never gives up hoping teehee!! But Petey you looked good to kiss anyway without hoping for the handsome prince all cuddly and adorable (barking that in my manly metro barkbox don't you know)

Happy Howloween! Wiry loves and kisses Eric xxxxx

Oh Petey...you look HOTHOTHOT in your froggie costume...if I um kiss ya are you going to turn into a Prince? Course Rosie already thinks you are a prince dear boy...by the way, that pumpkin that needed the emesis basis was NOT a victim of the my witches brew smoothies...he had eaten some onion dip that hadn't made it back into the fridge soon enuff, poor guy...oopsie...

Saw the pix of the run at Asta's...OMD...that Randy on that ladder? I saw that you channeled you anxiety over him by playin' with your tennis ball...

We want more pics of you in your costume...couldn't see the back!!

Spooky barks, Laciegirlie
