...as that is when my sweetest Mica will be crossing the bridge. Here is my last photo of him, spooning with Petey on the couch last night. It was the first time they've ever done that.So many tears.

It is so,so hard. Sadly, sensitive kind people feel what you're going through the most. Tonight our thoughts are there alongside you as an invisible, hopefully supporting presence.
Beaglebratz mom here - I know what a most difficult time making this decision this is but yes, it is the greatest gift one can give to their furry 4-legged companion after they have given us so much of themselves for so long. When I finally made that decision for my little Angel Oreo - altho I had raised and loved many pets before - with him, that final decision was totally mine altho I realized that Angel Oreo was guiding me all the time. He never resisted - he was ready and I know he is at the Rainbow Bridge, thanking me for it. He will be there, as will all the other animals who are there, to guide Mica safely across the Bridge. Be happy little Mica - run and play freely now with no more pain.
Tears here too. We are sad but know it is best for Mica. Mom has big tears in her eyes for Mom and Mica too.

The decision you have made is very selfless - giving Mica a wonderful loving home for so many years, and then allowing him to leave when he let you know it is time is a very difficult but very loving choice to make.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mica. Purrs for you.
Murphy's Mom here....I can't begin to express how sorry I am that you have to make this decision today to say goodby to Mica. I said goodbye to my 17.5year old kitty, Sophie, last December. Like Mica, she had given me so much joy and love throughout the years. My last and final gift to her was to end her pain and free her from her failing body.
It takes a certain strength for us to say goodbye to our furkids, but it is such a gift. Mica will be whole again, and never far from you. I often sense Sophie nearby, she comes in the form of a soft breeze or a gentle padding on my wood floors. I know she is watching over me.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's been a difficult day for me for very different reasons but reading this post just made me cry even harder.
I've been through the loss of a pet more times than I wish to count. It's always difficult and losing another one never gets any easier. However, the days after losing one do get easier. My heart is breaking for you.
Our muzzer said that Nigel and our lovely Tuptim too, will be there to help Mica when he is missing you.
She says that cats and dogs will play along the rainbow bridge, and wait for humans at the gate to join them one fine day.
We know that you have done your best to make this sad decision. To make it right for all of you because it's Mica's time. We hope you know he is at rest, and loving you today, and he will keep you in his heart until you come his way.
We're sorry, rhyme escapes us now, it's hard when tears are falling, to watch the meter and the scan and wipe the tears away. So we will send our thoughts and prayers for you and Petey too. And tell you Mica loves you, and he will wait for you.
