Three quick updates...

1.) Mommy doesn't need foot surgery!!! She's walking again, albeit with a crazy looking brace on her ankle and some ugly shoes (I think that hurts her the most). She starts PT today - twice a week for six weeks. And she has PETEY the rest of the time! Yipee!!!

2.) Betty's Mom was so sad without a terrier in her life that she's adopted a 4-month old Jack Russell named BIANCA! I can't wait to meet her and you can be sure I'll post photos of her immediately. Betty was like a big sis to me and now I can be little Bianca's big brother. (But if she's anything like Betty, she'll be bossing me around in no time.)

3.) So far, I've lined up two dates with potential girlfriends. The first is with Asta Marie. Although she herself hasn't shown any interest in me, her son Dewey Dewster seems eager for a new step-dad. He also "wants to get her out of the house so there are more balls for me." That makes me a tad nervous. Not sure I want to have to split my tennis ball collection should there be a divorce later on. (And she HAS had two husbands already...)

Besides tennis balls, Asta Marie likes to spend time cooling off in plastic bowls.

I've been known to do the same. So we have that in common.

She is a wee bit older than me. And there are children involved...

My other date is with the lovely Aire pup Gaia. She's not even a year old and has a new brother on the way. That could mean late night wee-wee pad changing and puppy food breath. She does make enthusiastic faces while eating treats....

As do I...

Now, there was some discussion about the age difference, not to mention the height disparities. I told her we could be like the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes of the canine world. Just without the Scientology (or aliens) but WITH jumping on the couch for joy!

I'm going to keep checking my blog for more applicants. Man, I'm gonna rack up a whole lotta miles on Aire Ruby this month!

Hey Pal,

We read about your planned dates on Jackson's blog and now have confirmed it here. We've been trying for eons to find a sweet (actually two sweet) girlies to love us -- but so far we just have each other.

Do you think a Brit accent would help? Or what about le French?

Let us know how you do!!!

Wow Petey, you're a fast mover! 2 dates already? As for dating tips, I agree that the British accent does have a certain je ne sais quoi. Try barking "the rain in Spain stays mainly on the plain" in a posh voice. Or "how now brown cow". And whilst the name Petey is cute, it won't fit in with your new image, so ditch it in favour of Peter. Much more sophisticated.
Glad to hear your mum doesn't need surgery. Very glad to read that Betty's mum has found a new pup! J x

I am probably twice your age, but the older female younger male thing seems to be in vogue now. I would so enjoy someone who liked to run, play and do bitey face with me. We could chase stuffies and shake them until their insides fall out. I think we could be great friends on greater adventures.

Woof Petey

Good luck with the dating game, but be careful. You wouldn't want some kind of fatal attraction thing going on.
Desert Pups here just roaming the neighborhood and meeting the pups cause we're new in town.

Hi, Petey -

That is great news that your Mom does not need surgery. Mama used to work in a physical therapy office so she knows some of the routine that patients have to go through.

That is also great news that Betty's mom found a new pup to love. We hope that the two of them have many happy years together.

Do you think if your two dates don't work out that you would like to see us? I (Hershey) am not the ball player but Kaci is. If that doesn't work maybe we should look up Jake and Just Harry.

Have a good weekend.

Love -

Hershey and Kaci

Hi Petey, I hope your date goes well. What will you be basing on to guage who will be the perfect lady for you?

The thing about having to split Tennis balls when there is any divorce involved. you just need to put the ownership of the tennis balls to be under your mum's name but of course your mum allow you to play with them but your future wife has not claims over them if you guys ever need to split but of course I am sure it will not happen.

Good Luck.

Luv
