"Is this Iowa?"

"No, Snickers, it's Heaven. But it looks a lot like Iowa. You'll feel right at home here."

Till we meet again.

Oh Petey. You've made Moma cry all over again. We will so miss Snickers. And we will always remember her and thank her for the love and strength that she modeled. Imagining her in Iowa's section of Heaven helps. Thank you.

Hey there Petey
Yes, we also didn't know Snickers very well, but we are really sad about this news. She obviously touched many hearts. Last week's world wide supportive effort bares credit to that special poochy. We send our love to the family and to all the bloggers who knew her.

Oh Petey,

We were so sad and angry to hear what happened to Snickers. It's just awful. No dog deserves to suffer like that. Snickers put up a valiant fight, but the poor little sweetie was doomed. It just makes me cry.

Love and Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie

Thanks for this post, Petey. Momma can't seem to stop crying, but imagining Snickers in Heaven, as she surely is, does help.

I bet Miss Snickers is sooo happy to be rid of all the pain. The bridge is supposed to be a wonderful, wonderful place. Since those Geeks did not give our puter back til Weds nite,(and it is NOT working right still) we had to put up our tribute to her today(also Mom came down with some kind of crud Weds am so she has just been laying around alot)
Snickers went to the bridge on gramma's birthday. She would have been 84. I know she is happier with Daddy, but we still miss having her here. When Mom went to get the space heaters at walmart last week-after our central unit died-she glanced down an aisle and started bawling in the store. A lady looked so much like gramma from that distance. So Mom embarassed herself in WalMart...sigh. She says you will understand because your gramma went to the bridge a couple of months after ours did. So tell your Mom we've been thinking about her alot.
Hugs
