Power of the paw...to the MAX!

If you haven't read Clive's post today, you must go there immediately. Once again, his NSLM has summed up so eloquently and truthfully what we all feel towards our dear friend Max and his sweet family.

If your heart is in your dream,
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star,
as dreamers do.

Max, we wish you comfort and peace and hugs and smooches and romps and a full tummy and sweet dreams and oceans of love. And as many minutes to share all this as there are grains of sand on the beach...

Mica has his paws crossed for you as well—and we all know about the Power of the Paw!

In lighter news...

Our pal Norwood has gone into seclusion following his turn as Judge of the "Cracker Dog Insane Terriers." (I still take offense to that title. I mean, must we paint all terriers with that awful brush when it truly only applies to 75% of us???) Norwood's whereabouts are unknown for his own protection....

...as apparently, Lacie was none-too-pleased to find herself out of the Winner's Circle. Norwood, man oh man, don't you know that you don't "mess with The Lacie???"

Thanks for the great post and referring me to Clive's Blog. He's one of my favorites and has been a "follower" since the early days of my blog.
He and Murray are just the best!
Wishing upon a star for Max and his family.

Petey. Do you know what it feels like to be minimized? I ask, 'cause you've been minimized on our computer screen for at least a couple of days, while Moma intended to get back to a MUCH earlier blog to leave a comment. But. You're probably getting to know Moma by now. She tends to get ... ummm ... distracted.

Anyhow. We're officially and openly with you in that 25% (that Mango so kindly recognized) as (my words) "the other kind of terrier." And you have done a great job of summing up the sentiments we feel for Max and his family. We've tried our best to do it on his blog, but somehow we get all choked up and words don't come too well.

Thanks for representing the minority with us ... it was fun ... gotta admit it. And, hey, I Fergs may be getting up her nerve to see if (as Lacie says it) Mango dates. HAHAHA! I can picture it now!

Can I stick with you? Male to male?
Jake (and Fergi, too)

Petey,
You are right, I too am part of that 25%. I think Norwood did a great job. I did want to win, but I am happy that my friend Taffy won. I am not quite as "craker" as many other terriers are, so I am glad to meet other non - terrier terriers.

EXACTLY...ooh...Scruffy just gassed up the kitchen...hold for a breathing break...

Sheesch...WHAT DOES HE EAT? As if we don't all know...

Yeppers...I have that NORWOOD in my scope...I just wrote on Mango's bloggie that he and I ARE GOING ON A DATE...he's gonna rue the day he passed me by...

AND HE GIVES OLD FARTY FACE AN HONORABLE MENTION????? For what...showin' his stoopid toofers?

Hey, our sissy's cat caught a RAT today...yeppers...and sissy became part of the catch and release program for rats...she got him outta the jaws of death unharmed...

And if we were to vote LEAST LIKELY TO TOUCH A RAT...oh, it would so be her...we wish we coulda been there...

Off to visit Max...

I am sooooooooooooooooo mad at Norwood...I mean, is he TOTALLY BLIND??

And the worst of it? He had me listed as a Welshie...and a Welshie won...he musta mixed us up???????

Fuming...

Just as I expected.. the 25% non terrier terriers are lashing back too. I guess I'll give back all those hot dogs I ate.

lacie lush. I'm not hiding. My eyes are perfectly fine. Bring it on girl.. I'm also part cracker insane. You've never faced my kicky feet moves.

Anyways I had fun judging. Sorry I couldn't pick everyone but not everyone wanted the title to be cracker insane

I don't think Max and his mom have been out of our thoughts all day and night and day and...

As fur Norwood's safety, I do think he'll need to make sure his khousin The Tula Monstah watches his bakhk 24/7 fur any BEASTIE sightings or shriekings...

Hey Petey
Thank you for everything!...especially for always flying the flag of fun high too! There is no better medicine than the lighter side of life. It makes us all smile and remember that there is always another paradigm to our own. Please keep it going...please...it is exactly what us struggling dogs need.
Sending lots and lots of love and thanks your way.

Hi Petey
Us true Scottish terriers just know we're the tops, eh? (Never mind what the Norwood fella says- who does he think he is anyway....?)
We're sending beams of love over to poor old Max too.
Cheers, H.
