Pimping my ride!

It's no secret, Toto is my all-time favorite actor. Tenacious, brave, plucky — a role model for Cairn terriers everywhere.

Always thought it would be cool to go for a ride with him.

No matter who was behind the wheel!

So you can imagine how thrilled I was when Mommy told me she'd ordered me a European Market Basket for our bike in South Carolina from the nicest lady at Cynthia's Twigs. We actually chatted for a nice long time with Cynthia herself!

This is the basket that we ordered. I thought I'd let Rosie take it for a test-ride. Mine is going to have a polka-dot liner and pillow. And it's so neat - you can easily take it off the handlebars to use for a grocery basket or carry your stuff to the beach.

We're getting the Extra-Large basket that can hold dogs over 20 pounds. Cynthia used to have a beagle (!!!) that weighed 30 lbs. and went riding in her basket like this. I can't tell you how hard it is to find a bike basket for a dog over 12 lbs!

Cynthia also carries this cute Back Basket. (Maybe we'll need one like a mini-van when the puppies arrive!) This also comes in an Extra Large size for dogs over 20 lbs and is very stable.

You can order everything you need to attach your basket to your bike from Cynthia, including harness straps so you won't fall out if you go over a speed bump! And she's got some great fabrics to make liners and pillows to match your bike (or your favorite sweater).

Pedaling Pups! That's us! Be sure to visit Cynthia's site at www.cynthiastwigs.com — summer's coming and it's time your people bring you along too!

Petey!

I've been checking the tabloids (the pupparazzi are asking me for my reaction to the news), and I'm getting my legal team together. They are at your disposal should you decide to take legal action.

Glad you and Rosie are well. Can't wait to see your pups.

Your bike basket looks very cozy. Wonder if Cynthia would do a custom goober-sized basket for me.

Goob love,
Stanley

How cool....I really enjoyed the test drive and think we should get the back basket for family outings and picnics :o) (we're not taking the squirts on our honeymoon are we?!)
Mum says if Stan manages to get a Goober basket for his Mom's bike he better blog it!
We're just back from the lovely vet lady who did nothing to me except say how pretty I am.....the others all got jabbed, hehe!
The pupperazzi are easing off a bit today, how about at your end? It's raining here and they're clearly not accustomed to the Scottish climate!
See you under the red blankie....
Sweet kisses,
Your Rosie-Posie xxxx

Oh Petey you have so touched on a raw nerve here. Gail is a very keen cyclist and one of her bicycles even has a basket on the front. But just because I once panicked when she put me in it (it wobbled a bit) she's not prepared to go the extra mile and buy another bike with a bigger and more stable basket. So unfair! Looking forward to hearing more about how you get on! If you want to look at a website that has several pictures of dogs on bicycles, and much else besides, I recommend:www.copenhagencyclechic.com
Cheers! H.
PS I'm on the train, coming back from my holiday in England. Isn't wi-fi great.

Very cool! Sadly, I don't think Mom's bike has room for a basket (she races and tells me that baskets aren't very aerodynamic...*sigh). Also, I doubt they make baskets for us 50 lb+ doggies. I'll have to live vicariously through you!

You are SO lucky. Mom is pretty sure we'd go bananas on a bike and make her wreck so I have to live vicariously through you my friend.

You are such a lucky duck! I'd love to have a basket ride, but unfortunately I'm a big girl.TOO big for such a fun ride. Those pups look so cuuuute.

If I lose 2.7# I could ride in that basket. Mom probably wouldn't take me for a ride though. She has a hard enough time going straight on her own.BOL!
