Rosie's Arrival in Africa!

After finding me up to my neck in hot water — literally—and coming to my rescue, Rosie came back with me to Max's estate. Unlike the other girls, Rosie had only packed a single tote bag for the trip...

Rosie was none too pleased with the proximity of the boys tent to Lacie's tent — and even less with Lacie's habit of dashing into our tent in the middle of the night, shrieking about a teensy bug and fawning around in her leopard print babydoll nightie (definitely NOT from the Martha's Secret® wooly bloomer collection!*).

Since we are an old married couple, she felt it was only right that we share our own tent. Out of her totebag, she pulled out this portable pup tent....

...laid it out on the ground, along with a fresh supply of tennis balls....

...and moments later, our tent was set up! That Rosie! She is one handy gal to have with you in the wilds of South Africa!

We retired inside for a little nap before the evening's festivities. (Rosie even packed our favorite red blanket!)

And late in the afternoon, everyone dropped by to discuss Mango's exciting plans for our evening. Mango was dressed as a Banana Republican, Asta was a vision in practical white silk safari couture, Lacie was wriggling her recently shrunken backside in silk harem pants and strappy gold sandals, while Tanner had found this snappy zebra-striped suit with matching hat in the International Male Doggie-Style catalog.

While Tammy, Max and Toffee prefer to go "au naturale," they donned towels to make us feel more comfortable. Truly, they are the perfect hosts and hostess!

At Joey's suggestion, Tanner had set up his own tent as well. (Apparently Tanner got confused and got a kitten tent instead of a pup tent.)

Seems to work - look at the neighbors he met when he woke up from his "cat nap!"

* Martha's Secret wooly bloomers are available in Modest Medium, Ladylike Large and Basset Big.
Now for the remainder of our relentlessly huge adventure today,

Wow, what a fun adventure. I hope you stay safe. Don't be to mean to Tanner. He is just a city dog,and he is still quite young.

Crikey, Tanner mate you sure are lucky the kitties were small. Petey, ya gotta keep an eye on Tanner. Sounds like he's going to get into some strife.

Hi Petey,

My head is whirling just following the big African adventure on all the different posts! What amazing time is being had by all...and what amazing cameramen to capture all the shenanigans! :-)

By the way, I was really impressed to hear that you're doing so well with your Bed command - way to go! It must be all down to your human's patient training and persistence - you're very lucky to have her, Petey!

Petey,
You sure know how to pick 'em. Rosie travels in style! I must say that outfit makes me look a bit porky. I will need to rethink that.

Max and Tammy sure like to be nekked. I cannot believe you got all those cool photos. Wherever did you put the camera?

Slobbers,
Mango

Ah Petey...you are a master storyteller and weaver of tales. Rosie looks pawfect, and muzzer mentioned that a tent like that might even get her to consider camping.

have a great time

Hmm. I must talk to Rosie about that tent of hers - I'd love to have one just like it! She certainly knows how to travel in style!

Excuse me, Petey...but I couldn't help but notice you said Lacie was sleeping in something a little less then modest. I sent her over there with pink ruffled babydoll pajamas from JC Penny's...I am assuming that she wasn't wearing those OR her new polar bear slippers???? Hmm...

I have coached her on modesty but she seems to have been inattentive to this fact.

I am ordering 5 pairs of the Rosie wooly bloomers in white...extra small I would think would fit....they are being overnighted to S. Africa...I would be grateful if you could oversee her wearing these garments.

Love and kisses...

Wooos! That was fun. I think that Rosie must have gotten that tent from Harry Potter! The kitty tent looked like fun!

That was very thoughtful of Rosie and I can understand that she needed time alone with her husband to do whatever it is that husbands do. Mommy hasn't explained that to me. Be careful and be safe.

Petey, we think the safari suit is Rosie's favourite outfit so far.....she looks gawjus!
And isn't that tent amazing? (she got it on sale too!) She could hardly believe it fit into her tote bag, it's very spacious.
Poor little Tanner getting humiliated by those kitties....we hope they were gentle with him :o)
Now then, do you think you could go into town tomorrow? Rosie promised to look for some souvenirs from your trip....some leopard/tiger print tennis balls etc.....and she promised us she'd look for some big game bones for her.....the pigs ears are just not cutting it lately!
We hope Scruffy & Stan aren't suggesting that YOU supervise Lacie wearing appropriate underwear? The cheek of it! Surely a job for the RH? Speaking of whom....
Mango.....a bit porky? BOL! You are too much!
We'll visit the other bloggies soon to fill in the gaps :D
Take care of our gal, we're missing her.

I am kind of missing right now but I gotta wonder where in the heck Tanner is getting money for these outfits, cat tents, and the other supplies he bought. He must have some job I don't know about. Glad Rosie showed up to rescue from Shriek Freak. ok, I am going back to missing now.

Rosie is sooooo boo-tee-full...and elegant. And that tent! wowsers! I hafta say the kitty tent it cute, but it looks like it's attracting a playful crowd of very large kittens. Those bloomers look a bit itchy for warm weather, heck, they look like they'd itch in a snowstorm too! I can't wait to see what ya'll get up to next!

We got to the picture of you all dressed, ready to discuss the evening's adventures, and had to stop to download that image. It's stuck in our minds, for sure, but we wanted a fresh reminder on our 'puter desktop. That was a classic. Everyone was truly in their element. (We can only wonder how we might've dressed?) Hehehehe! It was GREAT!

Still chuckling,
Jake and Fergi xxoo (so glad you had a good time, cuz we sure had fun reading about it)
