A terrible dishonor was done to terriers last night at the - bah! - Westminster Dog Show. In the terrier group judging the Airedale (!) and the CAIRN (!!!!) were excused due to "conflicts of interest!" And what were these conflicts of interest? The handlers were two of the judge's former handling assistants. Aren't they supposed to be judging the DOGS, not the handlers? And couldn't this conflict have been resolved BEFORE the dogs were in the showring?
It's a conspiracy, I tell you!
Fortunately, I rounded up some of my pals to protest this travesty. Maya and Kena joined me to defend the Cairns, while Maggie, Stanley, Faya and Dyos barked their displeasure as well.
And of course, Asta showed up as a symbol of terrier solidarity.
The only show worth watching is MANGOMINSTER! Where else can a simple Cairn terrier get a break?

Oh the horror! I am sure Asta and her Mumsie would have been happy to be substitute handlers. What were they thinking?

We're with you! That was one great airedale, and a pretty nice cairn (didn't get to see as much of him/her) and we agree that the conflict of interest should have been resolved prior to the judging or those dogs should get another chance.

We're with you,Petey! Should we bite the judge or the handlers who didn't make the proper arrangements BEFORE the competition? We just think it stinks! Our mom only really cares to watch the terriers, but last night, she didn't even watch for the whole first 5 minutes!
